The new Macs that got announced early last week (apart from the Mac Mini) are pretty underwhelming if you ask me...πŸ₯±

Here are 2 reasons as to why this is good though!πŸ‘‡

  1. Such small upgrades contribute to the evolution of the product over time and many small upgrades... make for a big upgrade!πŸ”₯
  2. If Apple would update each product every year with a ton of new features and design overhauls, chances are that these features are either gonna be underdeveloped or not that useful.πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ After all, there is a limit to what Apple can do in a year's time!

In short, by making such small upgrades, Apple contributes to a steady well-thought-out evolution of the Mac, so that when you buy a new Mac every 5 years or so... You get an upgrade that feels sophisticated and well-built!πŸ™Œ

PS: I want to emphasize that I do think the new Mac mini is a huge upgrade this time around.πŸ˜‰

  1. Shift + Command + \ to show the tab overview in Safari 🧭
  2. Control + Fn + Shift + ← or β†’to arrange a window into a left or right half πŸ”₯
